Jok asks for minutes, delivers

I hope this is the jumping off point for Jok. We are most definitely going to need his scoring this season.

On a different note, I'm slowing coming around to thinking Brady Ellingson is our best 3-baller.

You are too quickly assuming that Brady is our best 3 baller. He is 3 of 4 against terrible competiton in garbage time
 
Jok is this team's wildcard in my opinion. He has a pretty shot and his release is quick. If he can get comfortable in big games he could be a huge weapon as a shooter. The Hawks really need someone to be a consistent threat from outside. It would help open everything else up. Unfortunately, up to this point Jok has been anything but consistent.

Until our other guys show they can make shots against terrible competition in garbage time, im gunna give Ellingson the benifit of doubt. :)

Actually Rose is our best 3 point shooter then, as he is 1 for 1, a full 25% better then Ellingson. :D
 
We definitely need Jok to step it up. He is our key to getting in the tourney this year. Him or JO. Although Josh maybe one of those practice only types. I hope his incredible shooting spills over to gametime, but if not Jok (and possibly Brady) could be there to take the minutes...

Because we've seen 4 years watching Fran trying to set Oglesby up for wide open 3's and he fails in epic fashion virtually every time. Time to maybe give Jok a shot at being the one to deliver...he's not going to get better sitting on the bench.

I think the ship has sailed on JO. He has 2-3 games a year where he knocks the 3 ball down.

Jok has the potential to be a knock down shooter we need and he has no conscious so he does not get freaked out in the moment or by a miss. Big key to this season is his 3 ball.

Looks to me Brady can shoot the 3 and has no reluctance to do so. He is not very athletic so defense is an issue. Could be a 2-4 minute zone buster role for him.

I'm not trying to knock on him, I'm just not prepared to call a guy who has played about 15 min. this season our "best shooter".
 
Honestly everyone says Jok has a beautiful shot p, and Imjust don't see it. To me there is something weird about his form, I'm just not sold on him ever being a gray shooter/scorer. Not a great ball handler either, I think the mewer recruits are going to,pass him by. I hope im wrong, but he just isn't a smart bball player either, so again I'm not sold. Please prove me wrong Jok.
 
Peter Jok is and will be the best 3 point shooter for this team. I think his form is great and his release is high and quick and when he swishes it the net dances! He needs minutes as he has more upside to his game than anyone else except maybe Uthoff. He will make some game winning shots in conference this year. And then people will say, I knew it all along!:p
