I won't link to it I'm not sure we are supposed to do that but I'm sure all of you are familiar with his website Hawkfanatic. I encourage you to go check out the tribute piece he's done on him. He was able to get a ton of people to write in their 2 cents worth about how they feel about him. It's literally a list of who's who of former Hawks football and basketball players and coaches. Usually things like that are done AFTER someone has passed. But I'm so glad that they did this sort of thing now so John can see it. There isn't a more deserving person then John Streif. Culture is talked about a lot with Iowa. Well for many it started with and still continues with him. I bet you'll all enjoy it.

Team doctors, especially then, are and were much more than that. They are frequently responsible for travel arrangements, hotel reservations, setting up meals on the road, per diems for the coaches, booking the opposing facility for shootarounds, basically anything that makes the coaching staff's jobs easier.

Hawks thought so highly of John that they gave him the Chris Street award at one postseason banquet.

Yeah it feels like the amount of folks willing to write in would be endless and was just a matter of who all got back to Pat about it. Obviously KF wouldn't be able to say enough nice things about him too. They both go way way back. Would have been nice to have him included in it too for sure.
