Future Hawk Wieskamp scored 50 points in a win over Burlington. He was 16-21 from the field and 9-12 from 3. He added 8 boards, three steals and two assists. His oud career high was 35. He outscored the whole Burlington team by himself. Can't wait to get him on campus.

Not only did he break the Muscatine HS single game scoring record set by Brian Westlake in the '80s, but he also is now the career scoring leader passing Josh Miller who set the record in the '90s.

One thing of note, he scored 50, but only took 21 shots. He was 9 for 12 from three point range and 16 for 21 overall.

No idea how good Burlington is or isn't. But for a kid to be 9-12 from deep and be that efficient overall must mean he's good. Can't have enough players that can shoot/score. Keep him healthy and fatten him up a little. Can't wait till he's a Hawk

Only the second time in the last 10 yrs. that an Iowa HS player has went for 50 or more! Pretty rare. And it's impressive he broke the school career scoring record 5 games into his JR year. Can't wait to see him and Bohannon shooting 3's together for a couple years! Weiskamp and Jok are the same hgt., but Weiskamp is better all around than Jok (ball handling, hops, defense, rebounding, etc,) and is as good of a shooter.

In that case, JW being anything but first team All-American will be a disappointment.

Well, since the best players to come out of Iowa over the last 5-10 years have been pre or post season all-americans, doesn't sound like too much of a stretch, does it....(McDermott, Barnes, Paige, Uthoff, etc.....)
