Joe paterno's guilt.

I apologize if any one has posted already on this, but was wondering that maybe Paterno in his own mind thought by donating money back to the school, it was his way of freeing his mind of guilt. You know, a good thing cancels out a bad thing philosophy. I tried to google donations, but the only thing I can get to come up is what is currently going on in the media. And I'm not to patient to keep searching.

It seems from his last letter and the statements from his family they think Joe was the victim. Hard to feel guilt feeling sorry for yourself.
 
I think he was sorry. That's why he said he should've done more. After the sordid details were no longer under his control. His life was a lie. I believed it. Shame on me.
