Jesus there are some big jobs open

Does Michigan make a change now that they will be competing against two seminal programs for a coach?

If Pelini goes to Miami or Florida, then man that is another huge job opening up.

If JoePa had retired it would have been almost an unprecedented year.

On another front, it sounds like Kevin Wilson is a pretty big hir at IU... he is certainly saying all the right things.

If Michigan can get Harbaugh to agree to terms they will make the change. And I think that is entirely independent of what the other schools do. I don't think any are trying to woo Harbaugh.

I talked with a former Indiana player yesterday who is still quite involved with the football program, and he says that this is the best hire they've had in a long time. He said they finally have a guy that can recruit and coach. It was funny to see a 300 pound man giggle like a kid on Christmas morning!

Indiana is in a great position...

First off Notre Dame is in big trouble, they haven't been Notre Dame in a long long time.

Secondly, recruiting to Bloomington is going to be far easier than recruiting to West Lafayette and even Illinois. Investing in some facilities and I think they are a legitimate contender for finishing 3rd-4th in that division.

The Big 10 has to finish .500 as a whole so their gain will be someone elses loss.

I think Iowa is stable enough that we don't have to worry about it, but if Indiana goes up, someone else has to go down. I think Purdue is in trouble.

What was Hoeppner? Nice to know that Indy;) is happy, but they either don't know their own program, have a short memory, or have totally unrealistic expectations.

BTW: Recruiting to Norman is a lot different than recruiting to Bloomington.

He is talking about Jesus (HaySuess), he is a 6' 8" 300 lb tackle out of Wayne, not that zombie guy that people talk about on Sundays.

P.S. Bet this "flippant remark" will get me suspended.

Hoeppner went 4-7 and 5-7 in two years. Had quick starts against nobody and then flopped in the Big 10. There are unrealistic expectations, but he was saying he wants someone that can coach and recruit, and he thinks they got that.

If Pelini went to Miami he and his brother would be free to be as classless as they wish. That has to be a point in Miami's favor.

Nebraska could always pull an Iowa and give him a big raise. Miami can spend for a coach, but I don't think they can spend top dollar. But you're right, the path the that title is a lot easier at Miami. Plus the right coach can make them a juggarnaut in a lot of years.

I know Pelini has history with Nebraska. What is Pelini's history with Miami?
I think Florida is more than possible with Pelini. Can afford to pay him quite well, as they paid Urban Meyer 5.1 million this year. UF better job than the U IMO.

I would take the U. I mean it does have the best recruiting base, but just have not had he right coach. And they are the more prestigious of the two.

YOu realize of course you just used a word defined as frivolously disrespectful, shallow, or lacking in seriousness. I feel embarrassed for you.
