Jestin Jacobs Sticks with Iowa, Turns Down Home-State Buckeyes

A rare win for the good guys. I seriously doubt fOSU is going to continue to win 90% of its games going forward. Iowa will prepare you for the NFL as good as any place in the country. I don't care about that, but recruits should.

But... but... horrible recruiters... lazy... boring... Did I do that right?

Hawk coaches are just home counting their bonus money from their 8th win. They don't care about winning nearly as much as the fans. Bunch of lousy fat cats...

Hat's off to K. Bell for originally finding Jacobs and being his initial recruiter before handing things over to Wallace & others. Kirk needs to find another with Bell's skills and willingness to live on the road as Bell has done with recruiting. Been instrumental in our results for several years now.

Easier said than done, as you know.

I thought Wallace was really good at it as well. I think Bell would like it to become a stepping stone line Seth to a full-time position coach gig. That could happen when Morgan retires.

Hope he gets that gig and remains on this staff. Think our new RB coach is making strides on recruiting front as well in his short time aboard. Seems Kirk is trying to make the recruiting element more of his hiring profile for new staff members......would like to see more of it.

I think somebody is going to come after Bell soon. I know he loves the Hawks but I wonder if he leaves if he gets a full-time position coaching job with a good program.

Jacobs decision looks better all the time with DC, Asst. DC and now LB position coach gone at tOSU. Michigan's former DL coach Greg Mattison now the new Buckeye Co-DC.

Good for him.

Jacobs is enrolling early and enrolling at Iowa this January. Should help his chances to get on the field earlier.

Yeah they really shook up their staff. I didn't anticipate that with Day taking over but man... And there's no coincidence to the timing of it. They could have announced some of those guys leaving like Schiano. But they waited till after signing day... There's no coincidences with any of it.

Maybe another good example for those that believe players should have more leeway to move on just like coaches...........especially for newly signed recruits.

Oh it's exactly that as well. I saw on BTN last night DiNardo was saying how Fields and every kid transferring should be able to play right away point blank. I'm borderline torn on it in some ways. But I lean towards the kids and how they should have their freedom to come and go. But schools can make their own rules within how to govern themselves with it too.
Like the whole when kids can go pro thing those are rules from the NFL and NBA. Colleges have no control over that at all. The pro leagues just use colleges as feeder leagues to help develop their talent for em.
