Jerry Palm: Iowa a 6 seed

Beating PSU/Nebraska, then Purdue, should get us a 6 seed, regardless if we lose to Wisconsin in the semi-finals.
I would rather play an unmotivated Nebraska team, then a fired up Penn State team.

B1G tournament is rarely chalk, so:
Wednesday winners: (13) PSU and (11) Minnesota
Thursday winners: (8) Illinois, (5) Iowa, (10) NW, and (11) Minnesota
Friday winners: (1) Wisconsin, (5) Iowa, (2) Maryland, (3) MSU
Saturday winners: (1) Wisconsin, (3) MSU
Champion: (1) Wisconsin
huge over (3) MSU

We know that B1G officials will try to carry Tom Izzo to the championship game.
If Iowa gets a 3rd crack at Wisconsin, it will be the closest game, but, gut feeling, is that we will still come up short.

I picked the exact same bracket....But it won't be a huge win in the final

I wouldn't say Nebraska will be unmotivated. They came into this season with huge expectations and never lived up to it all year. That can all change by running the BTT. Not that it will happen but Miles can certainly try to sell it.

If that plays out...a 6 against Boise State in the "2nd" round then a probable match up against Baylor....no thanks. I think that would be a repeat of the NIT game a couple of years ago.

I don't see us coming close against wisconsin. They counter our strengths so well (height and getting fouled) We'd have to be sizzling to beat them. Heck, in our second match up with them we shot pretty well and didn't really come close. They're too good and I wouldn't be shocked if they win it all.

Palm seems to either like us or Kenpom (which typically rates us pretty high under Fran) cause he has had us higher than most the last 3 years.

I definitely do not want to play Baylor. I can't see the result being much better than two years ago.

Not the same teams. No fear.
