6-5 220 something as a RS Freshman. Can this guy fit the bill of the #2 TE in 2010-2011? Saw him at the spring game and he looks like a beast. I would guess that 220 is the first day on campus a couple years ago. Probably closer to 250 now.

Reisner is the real deal but is JD ready to step in and contribute or does CJ get the call?

Rob Howe was on Matt's show today and talked a little about Griggs. Apparently he is very skilled as a receiving tight end - fast, good hands, etc. The word right now is that KF is not real pleased with his ability to block. Hopefully he develops there and turns into the next NFL TE from Iowa.

I would rather have it this way and not vice versa. Blocking can develop, but being athletic and fast generally doesn't develop a ton at that level.

He has the measurables to be the next big tight end at Iowa and he is an athlete for sure. I look for him to work on his blocking this spring and summer and see the field this fall. Lets hope this kid develops because he is a BIG target.....
