What contribution do you expect from him this year?
 
I am rooting for IKM to make a dramatic comeback that will finally fulfill all that promise he showed as a freshman.

but my realistic side, I am sorry to say with a history of getting hurt, he will look good in game 1, then start to slow down due to a nagging injuries and will eventually be passed on the depth chart by game 5. Then on senior day against ILL, he will rush for 100 yards almost out of nowhere, to finish off his Hawkeye career in an upbeat fashion.
 
I expect he'll break some runs and get into space. I think the thinking now is to get the ball into guys in space. (not a new concept but new at Iowa).

He reminds me a bit of Canzeri or this 1629138606942.png



T-Good reminds me of a larger muscle car.
 
If he's healthy he could get 20 snaps/10ish touches a game. It'd be smart to not run Goodson into the ground with much more then 20-25 touches/game.

I was thinking 15-20 for Goodson, 10ish for IKM, and 5 for one of the Williams. That puts them at 35ish RB touches a game for a very balanced offense.

I think that'd be ideal to do. I doubt that's how it'll end up however. My guess is they'll use Goodson as a bell cow and he'll get closer to 25 plus per game for as long as he can handle it/doesn't get hurt. I could be wrong it's just with all the hype about the guy being such a high caliber player and all. Again I could be wrong we'll see.

My hope is that they won't need to work him like that. A healthy IKM will go a long ways to help shoulder the load.
 
LaPorta and Tracy are gonna open things up, and Goodson will be a hybrid guy like Wadley only a whole lot bigger. I think you're going to see more than 25 a game for him. Wadley had as many touches as anyone at Iowa since Coker and he was ok, and he wasn't built like a brick shithouse.
 
Between Goodson and IKM I expect about 1500 yds. rushing if both guys stay healthy. Goodson will give you about 1100 yds. and IKM about 4-500. You get those numbers from those 2 and the play action game is all set up if Petras is decent.
 
If he is healthy and stays healthy I think Iowa will be very pleased with their running game and defenses very, very displeased.

Fake to Goodson and screen out in the flat to IKM. This kid looked great as a freshmen. Before his injuries he actually looked quicker than Goodson. You all know how high I am on Goodson. I seen Goodson make a move that reminded me of Walter Payton.

Let’s hope they both stay healthy. Will be fun watching them in the same backfield.

Let’s hope that fairs better than having two NFL tightends on the same team. Brian couldn’t figure out what to do with that. Brian is learning too and I seen some better schemes the last half of the season last year.
