IU players suspended

To me this says something different. It indicates that when the NCAA can find the evidence, they will punish institutions and/or players for any and all infractions. It sounds crazy to classify a guy as a booster over a $180 donation he made 20 years ago, but to institutions that are always skirting the rules, this should serve as warning that there is a new Sheriff in town.

I like it. Besides, it's Indiana.

I read that the NCAA has informed former Miami Football players that if they do not participate in the investigation into the football program, that the NCAA will consider them all "guilty".

That's drawing a line in the sand. Again, I like it.

my point is they punish teams like Boise St and let this Miami thing drag on for a couple years. just way too inconsistent.

The south treats the NCAA like it is the Union Government. While schools in the North might disagree with some things they do, in the end, they cooperate.
