IU Gets Commit From 1,600 Yd D1 Rusher?

What world am I living in where Indiana University had one of the top RBs in the nation this year and is replacing him with a guy who rushed for 1,600 yards this year as a sophomore at UAB. How is it that Indiana's coaches had the foresight to go after this kid hard core, while Iowa (self proclaimed "OL U") who is known for its running game, started a 1 star fullback walkon for the past 3 years at RB and our best commit next year ran for 150 yards at prep school this year as the 3rd string RB on his team. It is one thing to see Wisconsin and OSU and Nebraska and Michigan to out recruit us for running backs. Hell, it would even be understandable if Minnesota, PSU, or MSU snagged a stud RB and we didn't. But when it's Indiana, it becomes clear that something major needs to change with our recruiting. Just five years ago we had guys like Melvin Gordon interested in us with memories of Shonn Green fresh in our minds. Now, Iowa is an afterthought in recruiting at every position except in state small town OL.

Why is Tevin Coleman getting replaced? Was he a senior?

Iowa, on the other hand, has a tire fire situation at RB.

KF doesn't need top notch players. He just needs two star talent that really are good people that work hard. These kids will make great citizens and are kids you would like to adopt or have your daughter marry.

The only problem is they need to be able to excel at football FIRST. This staff is freaking clueless and needs to be ran as soon as possible.

Happy New Year to all Iowa fans. May your New Year wish of KF leaving come true soon.

Couldn't agree more. Short of Daniels who is a prototypical D1 back on our roster? It sure isn't Canzeri or Wadley. Those cats are 3rd down backs at best and fragile to boot. Hopefully the stud from Sarasota, Florida is just that. Problem is in Kirks system he won't see the field til 2017.

Hmmm. Many here make fun of 2-star recruits. There are some diamonds in the rough, though. This guy is one: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Russell-Wilson-45472

OP is living in a world where Indiana has a football coach who is a competent recruiter, while Iowa does not.
