It's like a contest between Iowa fans and Nebraska fans to see who

can talk the most trash about the upcoming season with nothing to back it up. Remember that what we're talking about is college football and a bunch of kids throwing a leather toy up and down a fake-grass field; nothing is guaranteed. Iowa could easily lose 3, 4, 5, or even 6 games and the same could happen to Nebraska. I'm not saying prepare yourself for disappointment, just enjoy the season and take whatever we get instead of banking on a one loss season.

Anyone who treats college football as a life and death matter has serious issues.

It's entertainment. That's all it is.

Never prepare yourself for disappointment. It will only get in the way of enjoying the moment. Instead, learn to love the highs and to deal with the lows.

I find it particularly hard to deal with the lows. If i prepare myself that we will lost im suprised and thrilled we won. But if we lost i deal with it and move on. Unless theres some friggin team fan rubbin it in your face every god dam day. That makes it alittle hard to take.
