If not, what's on the menu at home?

Last minute predictions? Any gut feelings about the game now that it's here?

I've gone back and forth on this all week, and I can see it going either way. In the end I think (and hope) that Iowa wins the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, and that it's just too much for ISU to overcome.

Lastly, who's going to start the official game thread? I started it last week, and we looked like garbage, so I'm laying off that today. Not that I'm superstitious or anything....

This game is one I NEVER bet on. It's bizzaro world for some reason. This year...I'm really thinking about betting Iowa. Think about it. We played them last year with a very young inexperienced team and it was a nail biter...and our offense last year at this time (second game) was still atrocious. Now, we are year older, appear to have a life on offense again, and our front seven on defense is very solid.

Even ISU fans will tell you they are not as good a team this year, especially on defense. In addition, they just lost a starter on an inexperienced OL. I get Jack Trice and emotion are huge in college football, but I don't think it can overcome this type of advantage for Iowa. It's all about turnovers to me...if we take care of the ball, we win.

I never bet on Iowa football games, but especially not this one. Just hope Iowa wins the pillow fight this year.

I don't know what possible potential lies within the players of this year's team, but regardless of what it is, it is never a good day to lose to Iowa State. Go Hawks and stick it to the cyclones.
