It really is simple...

Can't change the national perception. No matter how much a person tries to use rational thought backed up by actual numbers and performance most of the national "pundits" have already made up their minds on this team. There is no rationalizing with ego and "look at me" driven commentary. They will sensationalize everything for ratings and attention. Fortunately, they have no bearing on how the games are played and ultimately in this system who goes where.

It is simple...Just keep winning. That is all Iowa can do. Let's enjoy the ride Hawkeye fans and stop worrying about changing the minds of those who already have their minds made up. It will be settled on the field and so far, Iowa has done just that. 8-0...no apologies necessary!

I personally think the media bashing is comical

screw the blowhards on ESPN who would suck off Tebow with no questions asked

Agreed...just as I stated in another thread...act like you've been there...we are relevant, and we are in the conversation.

I'll say it again. If Iowa, through some miracle, runs the table and wins the national championship the first thing the pundits will do is cry for an 8 team playoff system consisting of the P5 conference champions and 3 at large teams somehow selected on the basis of their rankings. And you know what? I am just fine with it if that is the outcome. This thing needs to be settled on the field. Even if there are four SEC schools in the playoffs in such a system the best team should still win most of the time.

It use to be going to a Bowl game was rewarding enough and the fans could follow and root their team on.Now we have a playoff with 4 teams and some would like it to be 6-8 teams,if so then let's play the games at the higher seeds stadium until the Championship Game.We are financially set to where we could go to any Bowl game but won't do both(BIG Championship Game).A lot of fans can't get off work to go to every playoff game their teams in let alone afford it.We all know there's way to many Bowl games anyway but it's a reward to the players and coaches for doing a fine job.I just don't know where it's going to end,we all know money talks.
