Thank God for basketball season.

This miserable excuse for a football season can't end soon enough for me. I am actually looking forward to Iowa basketball.

Yes, they will lose a lot of games, but they will be fun to watch and they will always be putting the pedal to the metal. I suspect Fran won't be "predicatable".

I bought my first ever BB season ticket and I can't wait.
 


I am looking forward to the new style Iowa basketball! Expectations are so low they will definitely surprise!

"Miserable excuse for a football season"??

Two wins away from a 9-win season, a Top 25 ranking, and a January 1 bowl game = miserable??

A little perspective, please. If you consider this football season miserable, it's a miracle you didn't take your own life during one of our last few basketball seasons.

I fear for the longtime success of all the athletic programs at Iowa when this is how fans react after a tough loss.

I stand by what I said.

If you are happy with losing to Northwestern every year and struggling against Indiana (only winning because their receiver dropped the game winning TD pass), and with the team REGRESSING the past two games. If you are happy with our offense that is LOADED at the skill positions putting up only 18 and 17 points against two of the worst defenses in the Big 10. If you are happy with our defense that cannot stop ANYBODY in crunch time....then good for you.

Maybe Iowa will get that 9th win in the Insight or Gator Bowl against some other also-ran.

Hopefully the Hawks won't be playing a team with the spread offense.

Here is some perspective for you... we were supposed to compete for a B10 championship! We essentially lost to 4-6 Indiana... and perennial also ran Northwestern for the 5 time in 6 years!

I have plenty of perspective. This team, this program is capable of greater things. I will not accept anything less.
 


I'm ready for bball season, this hawk football team is just disheartening to watch. Not because they are 7-3 (I'm a 3 loss season is pretty good for Iowa) BUT THIS team had the talent to win a big ten title and go to pasadena, we don't have that talent and experience very often....makes me question how good of leaders are seniors are
