ISU Post Game Call in Show

There was a guy on there saying he thinks ISU could beat Iowa now. "ISU had 5 turnovers in that game, don't you think they could take Iowa now?"

Give me a break, they are already getting a big head. They are taking credit for 8 turnovers today, but not giving Iowa any for its 5.

Who cares. Iowa proved it on the field 6 weeks ago who the better team was.

That would be like saying that Iowa's offense would look as inept as Nebraska's did today. 4 fumbles inside the ISU 5 for Nebby today...jeez.

Let em have their day...they deserve this moment of joy...Iowa fans have something like this every other year, it seems...an amazing, life memory moment. I spoke to a friend of mine that is a lifelong ISU fan and one of their biggest current supporters, just after the win today...he said it was the happiest day of his life...I know we can relate to that...like how I felt Tate to Holloway.

They could easily be 7-1 right now.

I agree they should have their day, they don't need to talk about Iowa.

Talk about an inferiority complex.

I agree, let them have their day. My sister went to ISU and goes to grad school and Nebraska. She was at the game and called me after. She was incredibly happy. I could tell she was smiling from ear to ear. As long as we are not playing Iowa State, I don't mind seeing them win/ Paul Rhodes is a class act and much better than Chiz the snake oil salesman.

Who said anything about not having their day? They beat Nebraska and have a shot at the Big 12 North, talk about that.

Agreed, suddenly they are back in the picture in a big way, not just some little win here.

2-2 is one back from KSU...

In the Big 12 NORTH!

give me a break.

They've never been to the Big 12 championship? I'd say that's a big deal for them.

I've watch them squander this opportunity twice in the last 10 years. (Both time hilarious)

But this team plays harder then those teams ever did.

Oh WOW! They aren't anywhere near a Big 12 North title. And IF they were, winning the Big 12 NORTH is like saying you finished 6th in the Big 10.

What exactly is your point here? And yes, they are still in it. They are a game back from KSU who still has OU and KU left.

And again, what is your point? A good ISU team will only HELP the hawks in the future, not hurt them?

My point is....they won a game. Not necessarily a title contender because of it. Secondly, a ISU win does absolutely NOTHING for Iowa. The less success ISU has the more recruits we get in state. Outside of fans who root for both teams, it doesn't effect Iowa at all.

Beating a team sans the starting QB and leading rusher in the big 12, IS A BIG DEAL ON THE ROAD.

And like you said, Big 12 north sucks, so yes they have a shot.

And worried Iowa can't recruit against ISU? WTF is wrong with you? lol.

Done anyway, games on in an hour.

couldn't have said it better. Plus, talking about ISU this much on a Saturday when Iowa is 7-0 is against my religion.

An ISU win does absolutely NOTHING for Iowa.

Actually, it does help the Hawks in the computer rankings, with strength of schedule and opponents' records and opponents' opponents' records. It all goes toward the one-third portion of the BCS formula that voters have no control, and that's the computer average. The better we look with the computers, the higher bounce we get when the voters don't recognize how good we are.
