Is This What KF has Dreamed About and Maybe Never Has Accomplished?

Assuming they can keep it up, yes, this team is basically a KF wet dream.
Don't forget the punter.

We are missing a ball control, punishing RB that can pound it 25 times a game for 125 yards, a shutdown corner, and an NFL caliber tight-end. Then it would be KFs perfect team.

Next week is the test - can Stanley manage his stress on the big stage, against an opponent that you know worked all summer just to win this game, on a team built specifically to beat Iowa at it's own game, in an extremely hostile environment, who knows Iowa very, very well? When they had no talent, they always pushed Iowa. Now they've got some talent and a chip on their shoulders, and some recent success against ranked teams.

Iowa needs to slap little brother down. If he hangs in there, he won't quit, and he's gotten big enough to really, really hurt the Hawks. Strap in, boys, this is going to be a classic, either way. I wouldn't bet a dollar on this game.

TE is spot that is very typical of an Iowa squad. Really solid blockers, team players, that can make some catches. You’re right about the punter, that’s huge for KF. I’m not convinced that that we don’t have a lockdown corner, we’ll have to see how these guys develop, and how seriously hurt our DBs are by injuries. Remember, neither Jackson or King were considered anywhere near as good as they ended up being at this point in 2015 or 2017.

Low risk QB? What are you even talking about. I don't know if I have seen an Iowa QB put up so many downfield passes and jump balls in the first two weeks as what Stanley has thrown so far. Don't equate zero INT's to being risk averse. It is actually just good QB play to NOT throw it to the other team, hit open receivers, and pick and choose when to throw it up in 1 v 1 situation.

If you can't see the difference between what Brian is doing with play calling and attacking what the D is giving us, then you just really don't understand football.

Brian is a Savant Prodigy, he should have been hired two years ago!

Nah. Hokks are still the Hokks, Clowns are still teh Clowns. I think the spirit of Marshal Yanda inhabits this D.

If people would take their blinders off, they would see he has done a pretty good job so far. He walked into the job left with nothing to work with really. The #121 ranked offense that averaged only 325 YPG, The number #118 ranked passing game averaging 153 YPG, and the #95th ranked scoring offense at 24.9 PPG.

After only 2 years as OC, we now have a much, much better and more diverse offense. It is what it is. Some will always hate Brian, because of his last name, but that doesn't change the fact that he has done well so far.

I don't hate him and agree with what you say, but the world is about opportunities, that pass many by, his last name bought his ticket. Just the way it is. He will be HC in the not too distant future.

His name didn't by his ticket, he earned his was on his own at the Patriots. If he wouldn't have gone to Iowa, he would have had opportunities a plenty. If you think that the New England TE coach who did what Brian did with those TE couldn't have named the school he wanted to work for at the college level, you are being disingenuous.

I basically agree but struggle w the memory of 66 total yards.

I agree they are attacking what they are giving which is low risk. The big passes yesterday were low risk. I know what my eyes saw. Rutgers was giving space in the deem. Yes down field but not in front of the D. Many were well masked play action. Very vanilla, but not what one expects from Iowa. These were not CJ or Stamzi type. Did look a lot like BB passes minus TE.

Luv HG.
