Yeah, I saw a story stating that "reports" are saying Franks won the job. I was unable to find any definitive reports.

Wow, the other night, A. Franks shanked a short kick while Koehn drilled a 45 yarder. Guess it might be a different story in practice though.

Unlucky. But got me thinking...Is there any position in professional sports in which it would be harder to make a roster then that of a kicker or punter. Every sport I can think of they generally carry a few position players where as most teams keep one and then search for free agents in the event something happens to the one they have.

Good call. And I guess if it came down to it a punter/kicker might be able to swap duties in the event something happened to the other kicker/punter.
