Is it Stanley, BF, or KF?

1. We all know QB has major issues
2. Is BF trying to dummy down play book to try to make Stanley some what functional?
3. Is KF stubbornness to not try someone else at QB the real issue here?
4. Is line coach another KF relative given the job with no idea what he's doing
5. Can anyone confirm the offense does indeed practice during the week. Dumb question....but you have to wonder

After last night (I was at the game) I'm fully convinced it is:

1. Iowa's O line first
2. Iowa's Quarterback Second
3. Iowa's Punter Returner 3rd
4. Iowa's running back's don't have enough break away speed (other than Goodson who needs more time in the gym)
5. Everything else is good enough outside of Wisconsin and Ohio St. Not perfect, but good enough.

Another poster on another site suggested moving Wirfs to guard and Kallenberger to RT. Thought it was interesting because Wirfs wouldn’t need help from TL and Tyler could focus on helping the other guard. MK would be fine at RT. Iowa can’t continue to be gutted up the middle, it blows everything up

You didn’t even list the coaches? The players change every few years and we have the same tired offense every year. The only constant is Ferentz.

I thought about adding the coaches to the list, but I figured that is a foregone conclusion. LOL. I agree add them on there.

The o line. Not being able to adapt internally. You cannot rely on BF to change the game plan when it goes to shit. If NS had just another second or two, completes a few more passes. The line needs to get nastier than what they are. Whether they can or can't, that's the question. Polasek needs to get off his ass And get this figured out....fast

This. Stanley isn't perfect and the OL is bad this year.. But our offense pretty consistently ranks bottom half or worse nationally year in and year out. Tells me it's not so much on the players if we're looking at the bigger picture.

If you want to know about THIS year - I put it on the OL first and foremost.

Its Stanley. He cost Iowa a chance at the West last year with the poor games against PSU & Purdue. The kid just doesn't have "it". he has a strong enough arm but he is slow to make decisions and looks lost out there. Its another 7 or 8 win season.

The guards could be better too.
