The Michigan State game was the outlying game in all the data and statistics and outcomes this Iowa team has shown us in the last 20 games.
Iowa has such a small margin of error in wins and losses. The Indiana game today is what they have been for two years.
The Michigan State game was the abnormal game. This team doesn't do that.
There is nothing wrong or negative about it. There are no style points. We are not Boise State or TCU- we don't need that.
Win the game and get out. Thats what this Iowa team has done. The players are very well prepared and show great composure all things considered in these tight close games. A lot of other teams would be sitting with 7 or 8 losses in the type of games Iowa has played the last two years.
Next week will be a different game. A different flow and rhythm to the game. Different preperation. The players will have different outside distractions and influences to answer too- tests, girlfriends, family issues, celebrations.......... so because of how they played today does not tell us anything how they will play next week. If that was the case- the Michigan state game would have carried over. The wisconsin game would have carried over the michigan state game.
it doesn't work like that with this team.
Frankly- I love it. It's the most dramatic, heart wrenching, thrilling, frustrating, mind boggling couple of seasons to go through as a fan.
What college football is about man. Enjoy this team. I respect the heck out of their composure and ability to pull close games off SOMEHOW and SOMEWAY.
