Here are the current standings, counting division games only:

Wisconsin 4-1
Iowa 4-1
Minnesota 4-1
Illinois 2-3
Nebraska 2-3
Purdue 2-4
NW 0-5

If Wisconsin defeats Minnesota Saturday and we defeat Nebraska on Friday (two big ifs), Iowa will tie for the best record (divisions games only) in the West, and will finish 3 points short of qualifying for the Big Ten Championship game (a win over Wisconsin would have done it for Iowa if the above 2 games unfold as described).

Iowa of course is 8-3 overall.

This has been a very good season for Iowa. Yes, you can play the "what if" game but Iowa can still achieve 10 wins and a very high national ranking, one of the highest in the Ferentz era.

Yeah, if we would have drawn Sparty and Maryland instead of Michigan and PSU, we might be singing a different tune.

If Iowa beats Nebraska, won't it tie for the best record in the division, no matter who wins between Wiscy and Minny? If Minnesota wins, in fact, you might say we'd have won the division on the tiebreaker, for division games only, since we beat Minny.
