Iowa's NFL Hit

TV had a stat that Iowa has the third most players from any one school drafted to the NFL the past two years combined.

1. USC 16
2. Florida 13
3. Iowa 12

And both of those teams have been relatively down the last couple of years as well. Interesting.

both of those teams played for and/or won multiple national titles in the past 10 years
Iowa/KF?

We aren't a farm team for the NFL we are a college football program. Having players in the NFL looks good Ill admit but its a product of the fundamental system/conservative system we run.

You're right, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Iowa isn't unique in having a talent loss hurt the product on the field.

No, but where Iowa IS unique is that they don't win with NFL talent. USC, FL, Bama, LSU, etc etc etc all do. You see what I'm saying?

(Devil's Advocate)

Except that Iowa does win. They were the Orange Bowl champs and were a QB injury away from an undefeated season. How did USC do when their QB was hurt in '07? That's right, they lost and cost themselves a chance at a national title.

Well that's all well and good. Awesome to think we still lose to the likes of Minn, NW, and IA St with so much talent.
