Iowa's best path to winning the BTT

With Michigan St. beating Purdue last night - in my opinion - here is Iowa's best path to possibly winning the Big Ten Tourney:

1. Iowa beats down NW on Saturday
2. Illinois beats Purdue at PUR this weekend - both teams are still living on the bubble, so it wouldn't surprise me if Illinois wins this one
3. Indiana beats MSU at IND this weekend

If this plays out this way, Iowa gets the #3 seed - would most likely play #6 Purdue in the Quarters and then most likely be matched up with #2 Seed Maryland in the Semis. The winner would then most likely get the Grinch and his troop in the Championship Game.

If Iowa stays hot and beats PUR and Maryland and then loses the Championship game to WIS I think they go in the Dance with a #6 Seed

If Iowa can somehow manage to beat WIS and claim the auto bid - I think a #5 and possibly a #4 seed is reachable - wins over PUR, MARYLAND AND WIS would be impressive.

So nice to be talking NCAA tourney in March about Hawkeye Basketball!!!
 
It won't play out in any of the scenarios you describe.

What I like about Iowa is the fact that the team is hungry and fearless, as opposed to the fans who are hungry and fearful.
 
I just want another shot at Purdue or Mich St. Get one of those teams in our first game, get Wisconsin in the semi's and see what happens.
 
I would like to actually have a shot to beat down MN.....but they are so bad that ain't gonna happen and it wouldn't do anything for our resume anyway...
 
No way Iowa gets higher than a 5 seed in the dance. If they somehow won the BTT, they would have an outside shot at the 5. Most likely we are a 7 and can play our way into a 6.
 
Nothing lower than a 4 seed

If your scenario played out and they won the BTT by beating Maryland and Wisky. Hawks have a solid road win resume already and have been hot at the end of the year. They know the BGT is tuff and Hawks battled through.

Yeah 4 seed in my completely biased opinion

If they win out before The Dance, Iowa would most definitely be a 5 seed.
 
I'll take this one, folks...

The best path:
1--Win Thursday (IF we have to play)
2--Win Friday
3--Win Saturday
4--Win Sunday

IIRC, looking at all possible brackets, this would clinch the BTT for the Hawks.
