is a systemic issue that starts and ends with Ferentz. EVERY other team in the country will gameplan around its most explosive players. Iowa makes a point of emphasis of getting Weisman touches, and Vandeberg a ton of playing time, while you have Canzeri, Powell, and Willes sitting on the bench.

It is indefensible.

Oh, and if Canzeri is injured, play Daniels or Parker. Both are legitimate running backs. Bullock is a slot receiver playing RB. And Weisman's role needs to be more strategic.

I've been saying since last year that bullock isn't anything more than a 3rd down back/slot WR because he doesn't see holes. This game today just proves it to everyone else. BUT he practices well

I mean...he came to Iowa as a slot receiver who moved to Rb due to depth issues. He's a good third down back...he should never see a first or second down, however.

It's definitely schematic -Iowa Football is almost un-watchable, at this point Kirk Ferentz knows how to effectively develop very good fundamental football players, but is terrible as a game day coach (ie. poor clock managament, poor use of weapons, lack of enthusiasm, not knowing how to scratch where it itches). Shame on Gary Barta for putting together a ten year one sided contract with little or no performance based pay. Barta and the entire coaching staff should be dismissed at season's end. We have state of the heart facilities now, and play in a power conference. This is in excuseable, and a joke.
