University of Iowa freshman Cory Clark has been impressive in his previous performances at Open tournaments during his red-shirt*season. So much so, that Clark earned the No. 1 pre-seed at 125 pounds for the 50th Annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships hosted by Northwestern University on Dec. 29-30 in Evanston, Ill.

He went to overtime with Gilman in their match and then was AHEAD of McD by a point with about 10-15 seconds left or so and McD got a reversal to win in regulation if I am remembering correctly.

McDonough graduates so 125 is available....Ramos is back at 133 as a Senior.

One will wrestle 125....one will sit and wait another year.

Clark is an amazing wrestler. He's has a tank that never seems to run out of gas and he's hungry to win. Watching him in high school was awesome.

He has a legit shot to be a 4-timer.
