Iowa opens with Missouri St. and all the other Big Ten teams are in the other half of the bracket so we won't see one until the finals. Our half of the bracket is largely western teams. If we win we would face a Dakota either North or South. Also in our quadrant are N. Illinois/South Dakota State, and Colorado/UNLV. Missouri State is a taller team with several 6-1, 6-2 players,but their scoring comes from their guards - Liza Fruendt and Lexi Hughes. Fruendt went off for 46 against Drake. They shoot 32% from 3pt range and only 39% overall (Iowa shoots 31% from 3 and 47% overall). They rebound little better 40.5 to our 39.5. Aubrey Buckley and Audrey Holt are their best rebounders inside,although Fruendt is 2nd on the team in rebounds. They turn the ball over almost as much as we do. We have 500 TO and they have 483, less that 1 per game difference. They seem to be s solid defensive team that shoots lots of 3's. Good Luck Hawks - hope Ally has a big game and let's get her a few more games (6).
against UConn, it would be fitting since they did not deserve to be in the tournament over Iowa anyways, or at the very least they should have had a lower seed. At least they are in a dead end spot.
