Iowa women still have NCAA tourn. shot?

Iowa is now at 13-11 (6-7) with an RPI of 66. The remaining 5 conf. games play out like this:

Illinois 13-11 (won 74-65 in 1st meeting)
MN 12-12 (lost 72-69 in 1st meeting)
@ NW 14-10 (won 78-69 in 1st meeting)
Ind 13-11 (won 71-67 in 1st meeting)
@ Wisc 17-7 (won 61-51 in 1st meeting)

Quality wins over Wisconsin, Illinois St, and MSU.

The lady Hawks have a very good shot of running the table, the finale @ Wisc will be HUGE!
 
If we can keep our level of play, I think we can do some damage in the B10 tournament. If we could get to the finals against OSU (provided they make it :) ) we'd have a pretty decent resume.

Good points made, 20. If they do that, it might be Lisa Bluder's best coaching job, yet. And she has had several team's that have certainly over-achieved. This is a Fun team to watch, with stars Kash Alexander and Jamie Printy.

Jamie Printy is certainly in the running for Fresman of the Year in the Big Ten. She has had an incredible freshman year, imho.

Agree 100%! Hopefully Wahlin will be back for the next game, that girl can flat out shoot the rock.

I hate to think too far ahead but next years group will be very special and we will only have two seniors in Kachine and Kesley Cermack. We are flat out loaded the next few years.

Iowa has a very good shot to land Kiah? Stokes, who is Greg Stokes' daughter.

She is the top BB player in Iowa, as a junior and just returned from a visit to Tennessee. Kiah could take Lisa Bluder's program to the promised land, especially in light of all the young talent that is already at Iowa City.

Man would it be fun to see the Lady Hawks get back to the level they were at under C. Vivian Stringer.

Will never forget watching them stick it to Tennessee in Carver en route to the final four.

Kiah would be a HUGE get for Bluder. She is currently ranked 96th overall and 3rd at C by ESPN. She has visited TN and Georgia and UCONN is up next.
 
If I were a great player from this state, male or female, I don't think I could go somewhere to be another brick in the wall like Harrison Barnes did...I'd rather lead a home state team back to glory and become a home town legend...and I clearly hope Miss Stokes reads this post!
 
I hope they can do it. win 3 or 4 of their last games, and win a game or two in the tourney, i would think they could get in. Someone from this school needs to go dancing. and they are in the best position to do so. With all their injuries this year, and now losing walline (sp), they are truly taking the football teams motto, "next (wo)man in" to another level. No matter what happens the rest of this year, the women are showing that they are a very talented and young team, who will be a force over the next couple of seasons.

Suppose Harrison Barnes will be a one and done anyway. Think it's funny that UNC is having a tough year, so maybe they really need barnes
 
two things, I was just at the linn mar girls game against iowa city west, and bluder was their, and it was not the first time. She is really recruiting Stokes hard. Another thing about Bluder is she is an amazing coach, Playing a ton of young players and good players that would be playing are hurt. She does not have to pull the "were young" excuse because she can get around that and coach with what she has. If Iowa is to keep rolling she will be a coach of the year in the big ten canidate.

At times in the past I have been critical of Bluder. She is simply doing an amazing job now and a strong finish and NCAA spot would be huge for this group. This might be her best job and these freshman have not only bought into the system but are playing outstanding as well.
