The basketball careers of Hawkeye sophomore forward Virginia Johnson and junior forward Jade Rogers have ended.
Iowa coach Lisa Bluder confirmed Friday that the University of Iowa is seeking a medical hardship waiver for both athletes. If granted, they will remain on scholarship at Iowa, but it won’t count against the scholarship limit.
The women's team can't catch a break. It is unfortunate we have to pursue and recruit so many players that have already torn an ACL in high school. That is a big risk. I bet Tennessee and Stanford don't have to do that.
