I hate to be picky again but they are the Hawkeye women, it is a women's basketball team. They are 18-23 year old women who are college students and very bright.

I am not offended, just trying to be real. In reality they are women.

Are you a boy? Would you like it if your boss or mgr said "You are a hard working boy"? Think about it.

I helped coach my daughter's 7th and 8th grade basketball teams. They were girls.

The technical differentiation is between high school and college. In high school it's girls basketball, in college it's womens basketball. Also the final score was 76-67.

We have to call 18-23 year old females women, which I'm fine with, but the men's teams (both football and hoops) we can't call them MEN according to some folks.. We have to call them "kids".

I'm so confused!

The Hawks are a fun team to watch (yet again). Bluder and her staff have done a great job. Should be another great year.

Lisa does a great job coaching our program. We will not ascend to a top flight team with the players we have. Take a look at a top flight program like Louisville and how they beat us in every phase of the game. I do love watching them play they are a fun group.
