Iowa will not pay over 1.5M

For a coach. I just feel that Barta is going to hire the best coach, most likely a Mid-Major and offer in the neighborhood of $1.2M to $1.5M a year.

I hear people throwing out $2M to $2.5M, I just don't see that happening.

I don't see this being a hire that is going to wow anyone. I also think Iowa will announce new coach by the end of the month.

If this is correct Iowa will be making announcement by Monday. The realistic coaches that fit this profile, their seasons are over. Pearl is not happening.

My thought is Iowa isn't going to land that type of coach.

I said that this is just my 2 cents. Take it or leave it. You've been around these message boards long enough Freddy.

I feel Iowa is going to get a Mid-Major coach and not a person like Dixon, Hewitt or Wright. If I'm right Iowa isn't dishing out a $1M or $1.3M increase to any these Mid-Major coaches. For Example Barbee makes what 700K, Iowa isn't going to offer him $2M, just no way I see that happening.

I think may be true, but because we may not be ABLE to get a high-major head coach. If we hire a mid-major, I don't think we'll need to pay $2M+.
