Iowa will host Colorado on Thursday









We lost to Michigan, penn state and Indiana during the regular season. All 3 of them advanced to the sweet sixteen so it's possible we can get revenge on 1 of them if we keep winning. Seeing how the NCAA only took 4 from the B1G it's only fitting if it would be an all B1G final.
 


And the clowns lost by 20 in the first round, that goes back to my point that Iowa's schedule was stronger than the clowns, Iowa beat the clowns head to head, Iowa is the better team, and Iowa was more deserving of the bid. It's good that the team did not put their heads down, but instead came out to prove people wrong.
 


The clowns and uni both had no business being in the NCAA tourney! The best Iowa team didn't make it and that still baffle's me! This Colorado team is a pretty good team and if we can beat them and move on I guess I'll be happy. Still ticked but at least we're still playing. Those clowns got blown out from the tipoff. Jeebus they were behind 20 in like 1minute! eeerrrrrrrrrr!
 




I think it's pretty clear the Big Ten was under seeded . The experts had quite a few criticisms of the tourney field overall. Iowa did miss some chances to help themselves and losing Tania means the WNIT may prove more beneficial to the program overall (pretty sure also that if Iowa was one and done in the NCAA that Ally doesn't get the record.). Colorado is an interesting team very similar on paper to South Dakota, but they normally don't shoot as well as SD. Today against SDSU they were pretty hot and that's what carried them in the OT. They are a deep team playing 9 players double digit minutes and have 3 double digit scorers with 3 more close to double digits (Leonard and Smith are their bet players). They have a 6-4 player who gets about 15 min. per game otherwise they have 4 players that are 6-1 or 6-2. They get out rebounded on the year, but don't turn the ball over as much as Iowa (we've been better lately though). They like to shoot the 3, so we'll need our good perimeter defense. Go Hawks hopefully I'll be here to watch this game and contribute on line.
 


Got my tickets today! I don't like the idea of attendance determines where these games are played. I urge any Hawkeye fan that can or will have an opportunity to go see the game Thursday to get there. If you've never seen the Lady Hawks play this would be a great time to catch a game. Colorado is a pretty good team and the Hawks could use all the support they could get. It's at 7:00 so just maybe there will be a good crowd! :)
 


I think we've been at or near the top in WNIT attendance so far. Somewhere there's a video with Ally,Kathleen,Megan,and Christine advertising for the game. If I can find it again I'll put up a link.

Iowa - RPI 64, zero top 25 RPI wins, 3-8 vs top 50, 0 top 50 RPI road wins
ISU - RPI 58, 2 top 25 RPI wins, 6-8 vs top 50, 2 top 50 RPI road wins

Easy to see why ISU was selected over Iowa.

The reason why the clowns were chosen over the Hawks is the B1G didn't schedule very well in their OCC. Iowa had a very good OCC but a lot of the top tier programs didn't and it hurt Iowa. I bet it will be rectified for this year and you clowns better be a top notch team or both your basketball teams will be staying home!
 


Or ISU beat more highly rated teams and did it on the road.

Both teams probably stay home next year if you ask me.

Just what I said the BIG didn't schedule good so therefore they didn't get into the top ten or 15. Hate to say it but the lady clowns recruited pretty good for next year. Don't know if it will be instant success. Things will be definitely different in the B1G next year. We're not going to get snubbed again! Count on it!
 






For next season I am thinking about getting a season ticket as close to the court as possible. However I live out of town and can't attend every game with my work schedule. If any of you would like to get that seat on games that I can't attend send me a message so we can make arrangements.

For the South Dakota game there was a mix up with the ticket computer. I still got row 1, but not in the section I had ordered. Let's say my view was obstructed. I want to make sure that never happens again.
