Iowa was 3rd to last team in

Finishing the season usually determines seeding a line or two.

BYU and Dayton don't have the body of work that Iowa does.

We lost to Illinois at home on senior night then lost to little itty bitty northwestern on a neutral court 4 days later. We are lucky they let us watch an NCAA tourney game, let alone play in one.

I'm sure the committee tries there best to look at the season as a whole but it's hard not to have your most recent memory be the one that comes to mind.

And the most recent memory of the hawks is obviously not pretty.

Yes, we are so lucky we get to watch an NCAA tourney game.

Enjoy life much?

Dayton and BYU getting seeded higher is laughable. But Iowa will never get a benefit of the doubt in basketball, so par for the course.

Strange that Iowa is the "home team" for this game when the Vols were one notch higher. Whatever. Have the yellow uni's been burned yet?

Not so much these days. I am an Iowa basketball fan with season tickets and we have lost 6 of 7. This Iowa team was ranked #10 in the country less than 2 months ago and now barely eked their way into the tourney with an rpi of 57. What is there to enjoy about this situation?

As for being able to watch an NCAA tourney game, try not to take things so literally, and loosen up a bit bra.

I think the Mich game today and their loss played into tbe Hawks seeding. If Mich had won today I think they would have gotten UVA's 1 seed and the Hawks wod have gotten BYU's 10 seed with UVA being the 2 in that bracket.
