The Hawks are on their best roll of the season.
CHA will be at its fullest of the season with free tickets for students and the Orange Bowl Champs in the house.
If I am Matta, I am not sleeping tonite as I ponder those factors, and the other fact...this is almost a must win for OSU,if they are serious about making the tourny. Losing to Iowa is a big no-no for any of the serious contenders in the league this year.
While OSU has improved since Turner has returned, last saturday vs West Va once again showed them to be prone to scoring droughts. They depend on the outside shot quite a bit, even with Turners penetration into the lane.
I think if the Hawks sag inside off of Turner and lighty, making them shoot bombs, and get inside diebler and bufords jerseys and make them drive...Iowa has a shot at the upset...a good shot.
I think Fuller/cole will give Lauderdale/Turner some issues in the paint. Granted Lauderdale is the biggest guy on the floor, but we can throw Brommer and Cougs at him,and maybe put him on the line a bunch...not a great free throw shooter.
I am not quite ready to say the Hawks will win,but I think it will be a tight game, with OSU winning by less than 5 if they do pull it out. Crowd should be roaring if the Hawks can get off to yet another strong start like vs MSU and IU. Keep the crowd in it...and anything is possible...it is college sports afterall and home court emotions can get any team pumped on defense beyond their normal limits....make Angerer,Edds,Clayborn ect proud..and play defense like hair on fire.
