After 1 quarter N. Ala. 22-20. Hawks not sharp on defense. They are giving up too many easy 3's and not stopping the ball in transition. Tomi Taiwo with a nice block to end the quarter. Hawks with 7 TO's.

Doyle closes out the half with a layup, she has 10, and Iowa leads 35-34 at halftime.

Iowa 35-34 at the half. Hawks playing better defense and have some of the better N. Ala. players in a bit of foul trouble. Really need to improve those TO's. Hawks shoot 42% and 20% from 3, but only 62.5% from the FT line. Ready for some better outside shooting and continued better defense. Go Hawks.
