Iowa vs Minnesota prediction thread.

Game's in a couple of hours. I don't really have faith that we can make shots against anyone good right now and seeing that the trend is to shoot in the low 30's on the road lately, that isn't good enough to win.

Minnesota 65 Iowa 49. But hey, find a way to win this and we are tied with Minnesota in the standings.
 






I am afraid this game will get ugly. Minnesota is very talented and has lost some games they should not have. I say Iowa loses this by at least 15.
 


Well...Minnesota has guards that can shoot and penetrate. We haven't done so well against that type of player and they have a few of them. They are going to be more athletic at 4 of the 5 positions, and they shoot the ball overall much better than us. Lastly, very tough place to play and come out with a win. The good thing is that we get to find out if our freshmen guards are improving to the point where we can almost call them sophomores. I think they have made progress, but this is too much I believe. Our only chance is to get the ball inside almost every half court set and get their bigs in foul trouble early. Inside is where we will have an advantage with Basabe and Woody. Woody has to make shots though. We then can kick it out too for the three.

That being said, unless we start hitting threes in a big way, this one goes to the goophers.
 






Not a good match-up today, if Iowa defends the 3-pt shot well it gives them a better chance since Iowa can't hit any themselves.

Yeah, I like our chances art Wisconsin much more than today. We're playing decent defense, but I still think we lose 70-62.
