IF that happened and we won, I would consider that a bigger win the Orange Bowl vs Georgia Tech. Even a 2 loss Bama is worth the price of gold. I may even would consider it Ferentz's best ever bowl win. The LSU win being very, very, very close.

I don't think Iowa will make the citrus

I do think that Bama will be heavily overrated though. It would be very hard for them to get excited about a non playoff bowl game. Plus half their team might skip the bowl in favor of the NFL draft and most of their fan base might not even travel for a non CFP game

We have a decent history as a bowl underdog vs SEC teams dating back to Tennessee in the 1982 Peach Bowl.

A better history, anyway, of playing PAC 12 teams which for the most part have blown our doors off in bowl games.

Iowa could win it if all their 3rd year NFL prospects sat out and they strolled in with their typical shit attitude when they don't get a "proper" bowl. That's how Utah beat them. However the thought of any of our DBs other than Geno Stone trying to cover their WRs really terrifies me.

He should be fired. 10-8 record versus Auburn is completely unacceptable. Kirby is 4-1 against Auburn. Ed is 3-1 against them. Dabo is 4-1. The good coaches in the South beat the shit out of Auburn.
