Iowa v Wisconsin B-Ball Predictions

What are your final predictions for tonight's game? I can see this game going a bunch of different ways. They are definitely going to be focusing on slowing the game down and forcing the Hawks to succeed in the half court. Better make our shots tonight and FT's. Also will be curious to see how this game is called. I'm sure Bo Ryan will want to make it a more physical game.

My homer prediction: Iowa 70 - Wisky 65

My brain says Wisky 62 - Iowa 55 though.

If we are going to win this game it's going to take someone to step up and make some 3's.
 
Also, is there any chance Uthoff starts for this game? That would be awesome. Uthoff at the 3 and White at the 4 is a great lineup IMO.
 
I don't think Uthoff starts on the road, maybe if it's a home game. He'll still be first off the bench I think. I like IA 77 WI 73.

No chance. He'll get his minutes just like usual.

I'm regards to prediction... I have none other than it's going to be a barn burner. Although Wiscy's scoring has increased this year I don't anticipate them wanting to run with us so I think they will try to slow it down. Our D will keep us in it.

Just hope we can find a way to hit a couple big shots at the end.
 
Not sure what to expect, but I tend to agree with the OP. It's hard for me to sit here and predict a win in the Kohl Center - that place is a snake pit for visiting teams.

That said, Iowa seems to have Wisky's number on Fran's watch, so I like our chances. Iowa won there 2 years ago with a lesser team than we have now, and frankly let it slip away there last year. So I expect Iowa to make a good showing this year as well. I'd be surprised if Iowa gets beaten badly.
 
This game worries me, Wisconsin is tough especially on their home court. This game has the makings of turning ugly for Iowa.

If we play as we are capable of as we did against Xavier, Villanova, Iowa State and Notre Dame, AND can keep it together in the last minutes of the game, limiting turnovers and making free throws, we WIll win.....

Late game free throws are puzzling this season. We were very good last season for the majority of the season late in the game. We need to get the magic back at the free throw line.....

I don't think Uthoff will start at Kohl. Too much pressure from the bitter fans. I like him coming off the bench anyway. No breathers for the opponents when we substitute 4/5 players at the five minute mark and continue to play hard and well with usually no observable dropoff. We can be a nightmare for the opponent. However the Wisconsin game is up in the air.....

If Iowa can play with the same mindset as at ISU (and make 75% of their damn FT's) Iowa can win. Hilton is probably the bigger death trap location, as compared to Kohl, or at least the same as. Let's not forget that Iowa lead much of the game at ISU (ISU lead for a total of 4:33 of game time), and by double digits at times.

Are you serious?? Forget how it went down in Ames?? Not happening anytime soon but a win tonight might help me forget a litlle.
 
Ummm...has anyone blown us out this year? No. Hilton's "magic officials" is a tougher place to play and we handled that. I think it will be a close game and the team that executes down the stretch wins. As always...you better hit free throws.

Overtime loss. Multiple blown opportunities including blowing a 12 point lead with 11 minutes left. Hawks can't get over the hump of holding onto a lead in a big game vs a ranked opponent. Another choke job

I can't see a score like this. If Wiscy is scoring in the 70s I think the tempo would favor Iowa and at worst it would be a close game.

In fact I really can't see us losing in anyway by more than 10 because I think our D is good enough to keep us in the game so if it's low scoring we should he right in it as well.

Just my opinion.
 
I make no prediction...but for Iowa to win they will need to play well in all phases of the game.
