special, no doubt. destined for failure with (coaches name redacted) as coach. gritty players, outside of AH no really great athletes. so, yes, a great team in the true sense.

I miss both the 1999 team and the 2006 teams. Those are the two best Iowa basketball teams I ever got to see.

I contend that the last time Iowa had a great team was on January 29, 2005. The Hawkeyes beat Indiana by 15 that day to go to 15-5 on the season. It was all down hill from there.
