Iowa to hold 2nd Pro Day

Um, anybody else wonder if NFL GM's and coaches are going to be in meetings during the first Pro Day, why they don't just cancel that one and reschedule for the second date?

Seems kind of silly to do it twice.

no mention of DJK when they list players on NFL radar. I understand he will not be allowed to participate in Iowa's pro days, but he must still be on NFL radar for late round picks....

You can be assured that Iowa will use this fact to help out their 2012 recruiting. Given the negative recruiting that they will face due to the rhabo-mess ... it is nice that we'll have some extra stuff to counter it.

What should also be particularly cool is that Reiff ALREADY seems to be poised to be our next 1st round pick ... and that's even without him even using his full college eligibility.

It depends how you look at it. If you're positive, it gives players two chances to impress (I'd assume that scouts will still be at the first pro day). If you're a little more negative, it's an extra opportunity for the players to get nit-picked.

what was the flattering comment? Did I miss something?

The comment was the first one posted at the end of the article. It wasn't flattering either...some dude by the name of Sam went off on Kirk for not letting DJK participate.

2nd paragraph:

According to league sources with knowledge of the situation, there's so much demand for meetings with Iowa players that Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz and his staff have scheduled another day for NFL decision-makers to meet with players on April 4.

Oh I see. I guess it is kinda a compliment, I just read it more as a fact. If there wasnt enough interest they wouldnt do it, was my thinking. Thanks for the help, the whole forest/tree thing.
