Iowa is past the half way mark for the 2023/2024 basketball season. A review of the team statistics really explains why Iowa is below .500 in the conference and has no quad 1 wins. The team could improve as they have 3 of the 4 most difficult games out of the way based on current standings. When looking at the team's current individual stats the glaring weakness is the drop off in productivity from the bench, Iowa really does not have a 6th man to provide offensive punch. It doesn't help that Freeman is in foul trouble a lot. When Dix or Perkins are resting it is a significant drop in performance. Attached is an image that sorts the 10 players with the most minutes by field goal percentage. You can make your own conclusions.
