Iowa State's Bye Week

I'm surprised no one has really talked about this. Kind of ironic it was week 2 of the college football season and the week before the Iowa game! Most bye weeks are mid season. Now, can ISU decide if they wanted week 2 as their bye week, I mean, who's in charge of scheduling bye weeks?

Also, seeing how bad Tennessee is, I wonder if the Vols have Campbell on their radar as the next head coach?

Everybody gets two byes this season. I assume Pollard could have scheduled the bye anytime he wanted during the OOC schedule, conference schedules get handed down. We have a bye next week and between Northwestern and Wisconsin.

I think the only reason I’d want an early bye is because there were fundamental problems with what was going on. Like Northwestern and Michigan fans probably felt their early byes were bad, but they could be at the right time to shore up some (what looks to be) big issues.

In the case of Iowa St., I didn’t see a team that had fundamental problems as much as a team that lacked explosive play makers. I doubt anyone got significantly faster or more elusive this week. I would of rather of had snaps and hit someone.
