Paul Rhoads has suspended defensive back, Banks, for violating team rules. Will not make the trip to Arizona with the Cyclones.

maybe if he had gotten more than a 2 practice suspension for toting weed around he would have thought twice about breaking the rules...

Ah irony at it's finest

Banks was in trouble earlier this year, so of course people are going to think that if he would have been actually punished for what he did, maybe he keeps his nose clean. Then again, maybe he would have still done whatever it is he has done to miss the bowl game. It really makes you wonder why these kids just can't keep out of trouble...(hawk, cyclone, panther, etc)

And it wasn't when you posted you thought Clayborn was going pro because he didn't want to be suspended for the first game for punching a cab driver?

It isn't a one way street and this is the second time in 3 months this guy has been in trouble.

In that 3 months how many Hawks have made the news for getting in trouble?

You guys need a sarcasm pirate so you can tell when I am being sarcastic. Remember I said he was going to get suspended for the first quarter. Total joke

Banks never got in trouble the first time. They dropped all charges on him. They found seeds in his roommate (who had recently transferred) room. Personally I think he should have been suspended the first time around. But I don't think Hawk fans have any room to talk after the last 3 years

Chris (can't remember his last name) from CycloneFanatic was on KXnO telling Matt and Miller that he won't be missed, the guy playing behind him is just as good, if not better.

I dont think he was a fan favorite. A friend of mine who is a clone fan said he wont miss him at all

Banks wasn't exactly a shutdown corner, in fact I don't think he was that good to begin with, but the guy behind him wasn't better or he would have been starting. I wouldn't say he was just as good either, I would put it as he was just as much a liability as Banks, therefore start the senior (Banks) who has more experience.

Of course, that's logical...have your better guys on the bench.

It's VERY logical! Every team does it! It's called "The backup QB"...

Is that why Iowa fans are always calling for the next guy? ;)

I thought I was going to like Chris for analysis purposes when he took over that role, but the more I hear him on the radio the more I realize he's just a passionate fan. And there is nothing wrong with that, but his analysis and projections just typically reflect that.

Williams is worthy of a thread. He is just intellectually challenged.....basically an empty suit or should I say an empty jersey.

As soon as he comes on or subs on a show, it is immediately changed.

Exactly! The second Stanzi graduates, you'll hear some people say "GOOD! Vandenberg should've been starting this whole time!"...right up until INT numero uno, when those same people start calling for Weinke...

As for Chris' analysis, I can't complain too much since I don't listen to him...:p
