No 20 point plus Iowa lead is ever safe in big games. I guess it is just an Iowa thing right? I'm sure there are many other examples out there.

Would be something if someone can put together a nice list of all of the 20 point plus leads leading to a loss.

It sures seems we lose far more of these types of games then regain our composure to eventually come out on top.

The pain of the UNLV game will NEVER be matched....but the coaching and choke job tonite was 1,000,000,000x worse than that game.

The Hawks have also come back from 20+ down a few times. It happens against good teams. The team in the lead tightens up and plays not to lose. It happens in football too.

Seems like these games go against us far more often then they go in our favor, though.

Good teams go on runs to get back into a game, so I expected it to end up tight, but boy does Iowa choke away their fair share.

1977 I hear ya, but good teams finish games, and this team can't even finish a sentence, poor way to lose tonight, pathetic, get used to it, b/c it's the 1st of a few more.........

Believe me, I'm used to it. Last year actually wasn't bad, but I remember tons of these types of losses the previous couple of years. Tied/lead with a minute or two left, and lose.
