Iowa Recruit Receives Honor

Brady Ellingson, headed to Iowa this fall, was a unanimous Wisconsin first team all state selection this week. His team did not make it to the state tournament, but they did face some very tough competition in their sectional. Brady missed some time mid season when he contracted mono, but bounced back and had a great year. I think we have a good recruit in Brady...we are in need of good shooters on the wing and from 3 point range.

Carly Moens, a 6'1" forward from the small town of Brodhead, WI, is a full scholarship recruit for the women's team next fall. Her team is 26-0 and plays in the State Tournament semi finals this Friday in Green Bay. She is an outstanding student and citizen and her family background is very positive. I would certainly predict success for her with Lisa Bluder.

I've seen a lot of headlines of Brady's games on Twitter and the kid definitely fills it up. Scored 30+ points a number of times this season and from all accounts is an excellent 3 point shooter. It'd be pretty sweet if this kid ends up being a starter type player that Fran snagged out of Bo's backyard.

For some reason I don't think Wisconsin even offered the kid.

Here's to hoping he's not just a spot shooter and can create off the dribble or take it to the hole.

I will take a spot shooter that can knock down trey's all day long, especially w/our new juco guard coming in to dish it off to him...We have needed something like this for a long time and we're starting to get them...great honor for this kid
