Hitchens doesn't really play the LEO spot. Hitchens plays the WILL spot.

Instead, when Nielsen hasn't been able to go, Kirksey has moved over to the OLB spot.

As for when it will be up to legitimate discussion ... next season.

Why replace Nielsen? Because he hasnt looked that great while playing on a bum ankle.

AJ Edds has said numerous times that Nielsen was born to play the LEO spot on this defense. That is good enough for me.

White still listed at #2 huh? Kind of weird since #3 and #4 seem to be getting game action at the position and I have only seen White a handful of teams, usually lined up when we go five wide.

When approaching the ball carrier who is attempting to evade a tackle, and you can't see why a bum ankle may hurt your tackling?

Having watched him last game I really hope they work on getting him down lower. He plays way to high to be effective.

White plays a ton, its just his role when he's in there is to block. He doesn't run it very often but you can read him on the two deep as he is the second best blocker of the rb's.
