Iowa played sloppy at times.....

but still won the game. That is a very good sign. Indiana has a long ways to go, but Iowa pretty much controlled this one throughout. Too many TO's, but what nearly 20 offensive rebounds? A solid road win! Fuller played well as did Cougill!!! Cole double/double!

Yeah, I love that they keep pounding it inside instead of settling for the 3 on every possession. It opens up so much for the outside shooters.

Having watched Indiana several times this season, I would say this has to be one of their worst performances of the year. I know they looked real bad against one smaller school(Loyola??).

Still, I thought it was great seeing us rebound with passion. Our offense is still kinda sketchy, but we played tremendous team defense. The players appear to be having fun playing for a change. That may be the most encouraging sign of all.

I believe we didn't take advantage of that press because we were already up by at least 10 and we were in time killing mode. I hate time killing mode. lol

I agree but if Indiana wasn't playing awful they would have capitalized because slow down mode cause us to have 3 straight turnovers.

At what point does it switch from teams played terrible to the fact that maybe we played some good D to make them look bad? Seriously the last three games people have been saying, Penn St., Michigan St, and now Indiana played terrible! How about the fact we made them play poorly???? I thought the D looked great tonight, as Indiana couldn't get anything going at all.

I think you can make that switch right now if you want to. Just because I think IU played one of their worst games of the year doesn't mean I think that's the only reason why Iowa won. Which is why I complimented our team defense and rebounding. I thought Iowa played tremendously.

More than any other game this season, I think we got a glimpse tonight of what Iowa basketball can be under Lick. It was great seeing a post presence. Our perimeter defense tonight was the best I have ever seen out of an Iowa team. And that's not just because we held them without a three pointer. It was our positioning and footwork that impressed me on the perimeter.

We still have a long ways to go. And I'm still going to harness any high expectations for the rest of the season, as I think depth will continue to hurt us as the year goes by. But for the first time in a while I see a light at the end of the tunnel regarding Iowa basketball.
