Iowa opens as a 4-point underdog at Pitt

I world take Iowa by 10. First off Iowa has no players on the roster that have lost to Pittsburgh. Iowa has at least 6 players on the roster that played and beat Pittsburgh. Next KF's record against opponents from his home state of Pennsylvania is rather good, they also won outright when the team from Pennsylvania was favored at least 3 times.

I get you want to be optimistic, I really do, but there's nothing shown in the first 3 games that says Iowa should beat Pitt who whooped up on BC. You need to pry your lips off of Ferentz's *** and get realistic man.

This is a really good matchup stylistically for Iowa. KF won’t be forced to take attack matchups because they’re built-in advantages, with our D-Line vs. their reliance on a big RB. With that said, we’ll still lose the game because we can’t attack a secondary, even one as bad as Pitt’s.

This is correct. Somehow we will manage to get 17 points. But they will score 31. No CJ, no Willes, no Powell, very little Smith, lots of Bullock.

So, you're giving me Pitt +10? Let's keep it reasonable, say, $100 sound good?

I'd take Pitt and the points all day long, no way does Iowa cover that. I'd also take the under and run with that.

I'm surprised it's not a little higher--Pitt crushed BC, which beat USC this weekend worse than the score would indicate. It feels like a 31-10 or 28-14 type of game, with Pitt having somewhere around 250 yards on the ground.

Hawks will cover the current +6 line. But probably lose. Have you guys ever watched a Kirk season? We'll be in a ton of one possession games, and go 3-5 in those games.

27-21 Pitt. Our defense or Special teams have to come up huge with a Td or a few picks to give Iowa a short field for us to score more than 3 touchdowns. Hard to find optimism at this point, although Rudock has played better on the road for whatever reason.

I am really down on KF, but one thing I have learned over the years. When a line looks too good to be true, It's usually accurate. I will take Pitt by one.
