I like the little bit of information that I can find on this kid, it seems when you have combo forwards that are not great shooters, they get categorized as undersized power forwards. What I can read is that he knows how to generate offense...this kind of player is what the staff continues to look at, versatility. Take a look at the players that have been brought in, except for Cartwright, Basabe and Olaseni, they can play multiple positions. One could argue that Cartwright would be a good wing and Basabe can play some center, but they are pretty much locked into their positions.
Players like Thurman aren't going anywhere and are driven to prove something, much like White, Basabe, Marble and Cartwright. Every now and then, you find a star out of players like that.
It would be excellent to add a couple players like Thurman and Ingram, but also add Gesell and Woodbury with them along with Meyer. That would be a pretty darn good class on paper.
