Iowa offers 2016 In-stater Pemsl

6'7" soph forward. hope he keeps on growing and filling out. anyone heard of this kid?

Saw him play in three games at the state tournament this year. He can definitely play (led Wahlert in scoring at 15.5 ppg and shot just a tick under 60% from the floor) and is already a pretty physically solid specimen. He's not some lanky kid on a growth spurt who may or may not fill out. He's almost exactly like Melsahn physically, at 6'7" 220 (Basabe is listed at 221). Definitely a kid that, at least at this stage, needs to focus on staying in the post at the college level. Didn't flash the kind of handles or outside shot to suggest he could move to the wing in the future.

If he continues his development, he could be a very good in-state prospect.

pemsl is only about 6'5"

needs to grow to his alleged height -- then he'll be a top 100 kid

otherwise, he really needs to work on that handle, or he's rod thompson 2.0

He looks like a decent small forward in that video. I hope he adds a couple of inches in height or those post moves he made will be easily swatted away by B1G post players.

at 6'7" he could be similar to niang -- probably not as good (as niang has turned out much better than his ranking as a HS senior), but a similar type.

at his current size, rod thompson or courtney scott.

"Ok, Bo, Roy, or any of you homo's.....you touch this kid, I'll kill ya"

It appears based on that rivals link that Wisconsin is already involved.

That hwy 151 bridge between Dubuque and Wisconsin needs to come down. Or at least block off the south bound traffic so Bo cannot come into Iowa.

I think this offer could be a little premature, just my opinion. Would have liked the coaches to see what he did this summer against good competition. He got completely outworked and outplayed by a smaller guy in the first state game I thought. Many of his points came from having super athletes around him that gave him some easy looks. The outworked part is what disappointed me, several rebounds at his size at that level he should get easily the other guy just wanted it more. Not saying he won't be a great player, just thought this seemed a little early for an offer maybe.

Bo primarily spends his time under bridges, so I don't think your scheme will slow him down...

He needs to develop his right, he seems to attempt to finish with his left at all costs. He was dealing with an injury at the state tournament that he sustained during districts, did something to his collarbone. There was talk about him not being able to play at one point at State.

He is only a sophomore. As long as he doesn't become complacent and continues to grow his game he will be a very good bball player. He got left off the all state tournament team due to his first round performance and hopefully is motivation to continue to grow. I think he has the mold to be a point forward, passes the ball well just needs better handles with his right.

Cordell is the next high major, top 100 player from Iowa. Look at Fran’s track record with early offers, the kids always see their recruitment skyrocket.

He will most likely be a top 100 player. He is solid, Ive seen him play several times (i went to Wahlert). He will be good. Played with some really good players this year and was not asked to be the team leader. I think you will see that develop and him develop over the next two years. He has a lot of hoops ahead of him before he gets to college. I hope he becomes a Hawk.
