Iowa Now Has More NFL'ers Than Nebraska

As of today, Iowa has 28 players signed to NFL teams vs Nebraska's 25 (soon to be 26 as soon as Suh gets signed).

Also, we have 4 Pro Bowlers with a total of 10 Pro Bowl selections, vs Nebraska's 2 players (Suh and Incognito) with 9 total.

Ask those dirty, jilted Nebraska fans you all (unfortunately) work with if they ever thought this would happen back when they were coiffing their mullets and wearing those Oakley M-Frames. You know, back when they were "relevant."

SUCK IT FUSKERS.

My IP address at home and at work have both been banned from Huskerboard which is the only one people go to. I’m too lazy to make a new account using a vpn for the millionth time.

Someone here who’s never posted at Huskerboard should do it. I’ll even document screenshots.

Iowa has so many core players in the NFL now its kind of crazy. My wife gets annoyed with me when an Iowa player does something good in the NFL and I say to her "guess where he went to college". happens more often than you'd think.

If I had one gripe it's that Iowa hasn't really had a superstar player like a JJ Watt or Leveon Bell. Greenway was a star but not really a household name. How many NFL fans know (or care) that Hitchens or Kirksey or Reiff or Scherff went to Iowa? Probably not many. I thought Shonn Greene would be that guy but he just couldn't stay healthy.

Watched Teddy Bruschi (spelling), former Pats linebacker, on ESPN last week just rave about Hitchens and KC picking him up. Loves the guy and the way he plays ball.

I've gotten a few of the VPNs banned on there as well. I have a new backup line from AT&T that I could use, I guess. Do you want to me to go in as an ISU fan complaining about Iowa fans gloating about this relevant statistic?

Call me crazy, but I think Bo Pelini was their guy. He got sideways with the fans after that distasteful rant that he had, but he was probably the right coach for that program. I think Bo would have had his up year every 4-6 years like Kurt has done and they would routinely be in the discussion with Iowa as the only potential team in the West to unseat Wisconsin. But oh no, they couldn't handle all those 9 win seasons.

May have to go back to Bob Sanders, whose injuries not only shortened his career but probably cost him the Hall of Fame. He was defensive player of the year at least once.

Could Dallas Clark be considered at least a borderline superstar?

Get it done, son.

The ISU angle would at least not get it deleted as fast.

Yeah I think most football savvy people knew DC. Im talking like a legit superstar though. Effing Wisconsin right now has like 3 of them...watt, Russell and Melvin

The 2017 Nebraska team was one of the worst in my lifetime (over 60 years). It will be interesting to see if Frost can really turn it around to the satisfaction of their delusional fan base.

I think it's really important to identify where the Nebraska program is at when you make these comparison. Nebraska pretty much sucks. If they don't have a miracle happen, they should have lost 5 straight to Iowa. That's not much of a rivalry. We've been beating them like a red headed stepchild for the past few years too. It's good we are moving on...it just wasn't that competitive.
